Caryn Mincherton and Penny Melsom coordinate our Therapy Services and Therapy Products.

Caryn and Penny both have backgrounds in Occupational Therapy and have been working together for a really long time! In fact, since before Skillbuilders inception in 1994!

Caryn Mincherton

Team Leader & Occupational Therapist

Caryn completed her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy in 1988 at Curtin University. She has many years of experience as an OT, with all but 1 year of that experience being in Paediatrics. Initially Caryn worked at Fremantle Hospital before commencing her career in paediatric Occupational Therapy at Princess Margaret Hospital. She worked in a range of caseloads including Burns and Plastic Surgery, Neurology, Oncology and Developmental Paediatrics.

Penny Melsom

Team Leader & Occupational Therapist

Penny completed her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy in 1988 at Curtin University, with a Post Grad Dip in Paediatric OT completed in 1995. She has many years of experience as an OT, with all but 2 years of that experience being in Paediatrics. Initially Penny worked at Albury Base Hospital Hospital, then Sir Charles Gardner Hospital before commencing her career in paediatric Occupational Therapy at Sir David Brand Centre (now the Ability Centre).
